Too late...I got the damn stuff. A lot of people here on the island do. A lot of kids across Nfld went to a Youth religious concert thing and brought the
F'in' shate back to their homes. I want to die, BSP, put that gun to my head.

It's too bad you got that dirt newfie, I wish you well soon.
I hear it comes with 4 or 5 days of high fever? Saw on the news (here and now) that up to 40% of kids in some communities are out of school with the flu on some parts of the island? |

I could fry an egg on my gut today and my head was burning up until about a hour ago when I took some Advil. Jesus, I'm soakin' wet now. I'm really
agitated too. No good for Watson to come to my door with his cup, the Japs would be considerin' me a hero. Take your family BSP and go back in the country
where it's safe.

I'd be landed somewhere and thrown in jail for air rage. My blood pressure must be up or something, I never felt so edgy and nervous like this before. I
could go out and sit on the bridge in the cold, I don't feel good. Hope none of you guys get this flu.

Sounds bad newfie, perhaps its karma kicking your butt.
We had it here in AUS, some people died from it. But generally people didnt really worry about it at all and carried on as normal. I work from home so its quite good not having to go into town on a train surrounded by coughing phlem bags. I hope you stocked up on Manuka Honey when i told ya to Newfie. That will help get rid of anything. |

Worldwide 30,000 children stave to death each day surely all of them couldn't have "ripped" the heart out of seals, but like you say who knows? |

Almost rid of the flu. We didn't need any heat on here for two days, I kept the house warm. And yeah, karma F's me up the old shoot once more, I'm
just so evil.
BSP, you know seals aren't for eating or for wearing their fur...they're made for hugging. Maybe someday we'll all join hands, hooves and paws; we'll form a link right around the earth and we'll all sing pretty songs. No humans or animals will ever kill again for meat. We'll teach lions, bears, tigers, seals, and every kind of animal to eat only grass, unless you're in Australia...you can't eat that endangered grass. What a Wonderful World. |

"BSP, you know seals aren't for eating or for wearing their fur...they're made for hugging"
"Here are the numbers, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, and other public sources: ** $746 million - Annual amount of money spent by hunters in the United States on licenses and public land access fees alone. Sportsmen's licensing revenues account for more than half of all funding for state natural resource agencies ** $300 million - Additional monies contributed to wildlife conservation every year by the more than 10,000 private hunting-advocate organizations, like the National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation ** $4.2 billion - Amount of money sportsmen have contributed to conservation through a 10% federal excise taxes on firearms, ammunition, and gear since the 1937 Pittman-Robertson Act established the tax. Millions of acres of public-use land has been purchased, preserved, and maintained with this money." In case you're wondering how much money animal rights groups devote to habitat preservation and the welfare of wild species, take a gander at PETA's 2004 financials. Straight from its Web site, I discovered that PETA's prodigious revenue of over $29 million bought: ** 2,700 media interviews ** 703 organized demonstrations ** Nearly 11,000 mentions in print ** Coverage on at least seven major TV networks ** 150,000 "vegetarian starter kits" disseminated to the public ** Enough "educational materials" for 235,000 teachers and 11,000,000 students… But not a single acre of land for wildlife preservation - not even for endangered species!"
How do these numbers compare with other high-participation outdoor sports? For some perspective, compare hunting with another popular gear- and travel-intensive sport, skiing. According to the Census Bureau's Statistics of U.S. Businesses and other sources, the skiing industry annually: ** Employs approximately 127,000 people (less than a quarter as many as hunting) ** Pays gross salaries of around $1 billion (about 6% of what hunting pays) ** Yields just over $500 million in ski equipment sales (hunters spend more than this on their DOGS). See what I mean? Hunting is big business in the United States. So big that animal rights groups could never even come close
to matching, dollar for dollar, the positive impact sportsmen have on America's bottom line.

FEARS of a resurgence of deadly swine flu have been realised with a massive rise in deaths in the Americas and Europe.
The World Health Organisation has reported that the number of global swine flu deaths has spiked by 700 in a week, according to the WHO's published statistics. The sudden rise in deaths from the A(H1N1) is an alarming development for authorities who were fearing a renewed pandemic with the onset of winter and freezing conditions in the northern hemisphere. In Eastern Europe, Ukraine has reacted to a spate of deaths, including among healthy young people, by closing all schools for three weeks and banning public events and closing cinemas across the country. According to reports, the bans may continue into 2010, in what are the toughest measures taken in Europe over the virus. Fatal cases in Europe have climbed to at least 281, while those in Asia-Pacific rose to 1,070. "In the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere, influenza transmission continues to intensify, marking an unusually early start to winter influenza season in some countries,'' the WHO said on Friday. As well as ordering schools and cinemas closed and banning public gatherings for three weeks, the government will also introduce "special regimes'' to limit the movement of Ukraine's citizens from one region to another for non-urgent purposes, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said. Ukraine has borders with four EU countries. More than 5,700 people have died from the A(H1N1) since it broke out in April in Mexico and the United States. Ukraine has confirmed four deaths from the A(H1N1) virus, amid a growing panic over several dozen unexplained deaths in the west of the country. "We can say today that Ukraine has entered into the zone of the swine flu epidemic,'' Health Minister Vassyl Kniazevich said. However the biggest rise in the past week was recorded in the Americas, where 636 more people were reported killed by swine flu, bringing the region's death toll to 4,175, the UN agency says. In the United States, the virus may have infected up to 5.7 million over the first four months of the outbreak, according to a study by the government's Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The figure is more than 100 times the number of cases confirmed in laboratories. The researchers estimated that between 1.8 million to 5.7 million cases of A(H1N1) flu occurred in the United States in the four months from April, when the virus was first reported. Of those cases, between 9,000 and 21,000 were hospitalised, the study said. |

Thanks for all those who wished something better for me, I know imaufo but I will die someday.
Swine flu is picking up around here. People are gettin' a bit nuts over the vac shots, trying to sneak in when they're not in a high risk group. The hospital here is on overtime, my wife likes that money. I really don't know how many have it because they're not really testing anyone unless they're half dead. I'm even assuming myself that I have it because I've never had the flu this intense before, especially with the fever. Right now I feel like I just walked into a indoor swimming and sat now with a snow suit on. A lot of social activities have been canceled around here, except for the bars of course. I only had about 1 dozen trick or treaters tonight, usually I get at least 60 plus. The wife's boss was talking to the health minister and from the reports the swine flu will be getting worst. |
