lassy, plenty of jam, bakeapple, partridgeberry, blackberry and blueberry!

The hospital up there is gone crazy, a lot of sick people. My flu has gone into another stage, snotty nose but at least the fever is gone. Guess I don't
have to worry about swine flu shot this winter.
I should have mixed some kerosene and molasses, it's good for fever but I never had it since I was a kid. My mother use to make a bitter jam from partridgeberries and black currants that we used for sore throats. I remember jack and Jill cough syrup that was awesome, everyone used it. It had honey flavor and none of that sick medicine taste that the same company has in the product now. Looks like you're ready to go into your underground bunker BSP. watch out the starving vegans don't come beatin' on your door. |

It actually works. It's just not common knowledge anymore. It's good to know though in an emergency. I remember my mother saying that a few people were
saved by it, their lives that is, not their souls.
Of course you gotta know how to make it and I don't but will find out. |

We have all kinds of sore throat candies and gum. It relieves the torture for a bit but for me it drives me nuts because after a few my teeth get real
sensitive. I get really cranky when I have the flu.
Still not completely better yet myself, sneezing and coughing with a runny nose. At least now I can walk, when I had the fever the muscles in my legs tightened right up and all I could do was hobble around. I definitely had the pig flu because I get the flu every year and this was the worst I ever had in my life and my body knows when something is different. So far only one person has died in Nfld from it, a 36 year old woman. I'm sure there will be more though. People need to stop traveling and stay home if they are in a risk group. |
