SARASOTA, Fla. - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals held an unusual demonstration Wednesday in Sarasota. An elephant with a bandage around its head passed out coloring books to kids as they came out of school.

The coloring books tells kids that the circus is no fun for animals, explaining how they are taken away from their family, chained, and mistreated while in the circus.

This is new to me, but one shouldn't be too surprised, they are wild animals after all, not cute cuddly toys...and not the altruistic saintly spirits that popular culture likes to portray...
